I wonder if some one will be able to upgrade the ram

seems that the desire and newer htc phones have 1 gig of ram. I wonder if any one will get the nexus one to one gig using desire ram seems specs are almost identical, unless the mother board cant handle it. Smart phones should be made like pcs, with interchangeable parts. IMO.

Ahaha! While its a good concept, if phones were made to be hardware upgradeable, cellphone companies wouldn't be able to make SO MANY so quickly.

These cellphones are made to be outdated and outprocessed.

This is undoubtedly true. I think a phone should last a person at least a good two years, usually most people get there phones subsidized. This would offer those people options without feeling buyers remorse after the 14 day period when the newer phone comes out. It seems phone are coming out every 14 days :rofl3:

Upgrade able things; screen, ram, cpu, video card, hard casing. I mean they already have support for 32GB SD card and it is not available yet.

At least I think Samsung and HTC should develop such a phone.

Sure, they could do that, but be prepared to lug around a phone that looks like Zack Morris' from Saved by the Bell. With upgradability comes a signifiant increase in size. I have a Macbook air...sure it's a very nice, streamlined designed, but I shudder to think of how you would upgrade anything in it.

The simple truth is, that it's far more space efficient to solder in ram, rather than having pin connectors and a way for it to be user-serviced.

It would be impossible to keep a phone the size of a Nexus one, and add the ability for the CPU, RAM, or screen to be modular and interchangable.
