Using your own ringtones, does not work.

Can someone else with a Nexus S spare the time to try this.

I have created a folder on the phone called Ringtones into which I have placed several short MP3 files.

I have then either used Astro or the sound settings on the phone to select one of the MP3's as the ringtone. It works until the phone is powered down and restarted upon which the phone reverts back to a system ringtone.

Maybe your app created the folder as I only have
    sdcard/media/audio/notifications
Within this folder the facebook app has placed a ringtone.
I will create the folder you mention anyway and see how I get on.

yea, not sure if it did or not

but, others have mentioned it being there

hopefully creating it in that directory will work
