    Phone/Notification Ringtone resetting

Does anyone else have a problem where their ringtone would reset to the system's default randomly?

At first, I thought it only happened when I connect my phone to the usb for data transfer, but I've been noticing it changes at random times now...

I thought it was the music player app called PowerAmp, but they reassured me that it wasn't it.

    Any ideas?

If you want your ringtones, notifications, and alarms to work properly put them as follow
    sdcard/Media/Audio/Ringtones

    sdcard/Media/Audio/Notifications

    sdcard/Media/Audio/Alarms

You will need to use a file manager. I recommend ES File Explorer

Kevin, with all due respect to lion, I have tried EXACTLY what he said and my ringtones and notifications still quit working randomly. I've used Zedge, ringlert, and others to download tones. This is obviously a nexus s bug - one of many - that need to be fixed.
