    GPS - Searching for GPS???

    Hey guys,

Just upgraded from the N1 to the NS, and as much as I'm loving the phone, I'm getting extremely frustrated with the GPS!

With the N1, I could go to Navigate and have the phone in the passengers seat and would get quick and steady satellite connections.

Now with the NS, it takes a long time to find the GPS, and when it does, I pretty much have to have it on the dashboard to get a connection. If I have it in my lap driving, it doesn't get a good connection, and just stops working.

Is this a problem with my phone specifically, or if this an NS or Gingerbread issue?

Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    I wouldn't say changing a N1 for a NS is an upgrade ! lol

    Ya, so it seems...

Does anyone have an answer to this GPS issue?

I see a lot of posts about nexus s gps problems. Seem to be a recurrent issue.

I believe the problem was solved or at least improved in the 2.3.4 update.

Definitely a 2.3.4 issue, since the update,Gps is off by 5km easy,no problem with custom roms or 2.3.3 but now that I've been using it for 3or4 days now,GPS and battery drain are my two main issues, and I still have alot of screen jitters

My phone is running 2.3.3, and I'm having this problem.

Any chance it's the phone hardware, and not the software?
