    music through bluetooth?

    Hi, I recently got myself a nexus s, and am trying to play my music in the car. I have a transmitter that I plug into the cigarette lighter, it connects via bluetooth, and gives me handsfree calls. the calls work great, phone connects, no problem. But when I try to play music, it only comes through the nexus speaker. I have tried three different music players, but none of them have an option to play via bluetooth.

    I tried the app BT Mono, and yes that made it come through the car speakers, but at a quality that was not worth listening to it.

    Is there another app that will help me? Or am I doing something wrong?

    There is a setting (and I have forgotten where it is) that says something to the effect "Play media through bluetooth".

    I used this on vacation with a minivan that had bluetooth, it was great.

    Thank you, I don't suppose you remember if it is in the phone settings, or the music player? And which music player you were using?

    Go to Settings->Wireless & Networks->Bluetooth Settings

    Then long press one the Bluetooth device names and select Options

    There you will see "Use for media audio", select that.

    Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled while trying this.

    The only option in there is use for phone audio, so maybe its the Bluetooth that won't allow it rather then the phone?

    Since I know for a fact that the phone works, I'd say that is correct.

    P.S. Check to make sure that your bluetooth device supports A2DP
