    Question Netgear Router?

My Netgear Router DG834PN works just fine. However, my Samsung Nexus S will not connect to the Router WiFi. Is there a problem with compatibility between Netgear and the Samsung Nexus S? I have no problems with the Nexus One nor do I have problems with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9.

There shouldn't be any problem. Have you tried the WiFi Analyzer app from the market? It can help you figure out channel and available network issues.

By chance is your ssid hidden? I know way back I tried shutting off broadcasting of the ssid and it effectively killed wifi on my nexus one. Doubt this applies, but I thought I'd bring it up.

I have the Netgear wnr3500L running dd-wrt and have had no issues with any of my nexus phones.. Or any other phone. Under the stock firmware.. Same thing.

Maybe try disabling security to see if the phone will connect. Also, if you have mac filtering on make sure you add the mac of your nexus s. I sometimes forget I mac filtering on Haha doh!

Yes, I've tried a few connectivity apps ... the phone connects for several seconds and then drops out. Incidentally, I checked whether others had had problems with Netgear and some did. Apparently, they changed router and the Nexus S connected. The mind boggles
