What are you considering to be poor battery life? And are you using task killer to kill the gallery app?

Fully charged at 11AM, down to 60% by 1PM and 10% by 4PM...all without doing a thing. What's worst? I could be reading a book on it while the charger is plug in a wall jack, and I see the %age drop. More? Well, while I am typing this reply and looking at the Nexus screen( no activities) and it dropped from 18% to 14% plug in the USB port. Go figure.

Hi all, I'm about to purchase my first Android smartphone, and I really like the Nexus S (design, size - imho the new Galaxy Nexus is a bit too big), especially now that ICS is available for it. Would you guys still recommend it, even if it's not the latest available product on the market?

Turn off your wifi and anything else unnecessarily running. Example:google locator or a task killer or battery monitor. Also, how often do you perform a soft reset?
