Exclamation Future Verizon Android Phones will not have Google Search as default!

Instead they will have Microsoft Bing as the default search.

Verizon has just launched the Samsung Fascinate online today and the device will be available in stores tomorrow. As some of you might have noticed, any image of the device’s homescreen that shows the search bar is showing Microsoft’s Bing search widget.
TheDroidGuy contacted a Verizon spokesperson and asked about the Google Search feature and the spokesperson replied:
“We also have a great relationship with Microsoft and Bing is the default search engine on our feature phones. Customers may change the search engine on their phones if they like.”
Through some investigating by TheDroidGuy, we are learning that users cannot side load the Google Search app, nor can you locate the application in the market. After speaking with his Verizon contacts, we are learning that Verizon is planning on removing Google Search as the native search application on future Android devices and replacing it with Microsoft’s Bing.

I've tried the Bing search and just do not get the hang of it, nor like it.
Also, I have a hotmail email address that my M$Outlook retrieves those emails...when M$ was launching their Bing website and sending out emails about it...my Outlook flagged all those emails as Junk mail...all by itself.

So basically Verizon is pulling an AT&T.

All the more reason I really prefer unsubsidized phones. That is as stupid as AT&T doing that to the Backflip.

Heard about this piece of news today morning, thought it was pretty dumb to have Bing the default search for a Google phone. Bing search on desktop is pretty slick and I enjoy using it, but the version Verizon is using is a cooked up custom joined effort between Bing and Verizon. The result is something horrendous unlike Bing.com. Sad news for Verizon customers.

So much for the "Google Experience". Why would they do that?
