    some nook questions

    thinking of taking the plunge for this but would like a couple of answers first about it,
    1)is it easy enough to root
    2)i heard there is no wifi capabilities on this in britain,any british users answer this for me
    3)are there books pre-installed
    4)as its android based can i pop my sd card into it from my n1

    i think thats all for now :rofl3:

    1) You do not even have to root it. I have left mine 100% stock, and boot from the mSD card with CM7.
    2) Cannot help you with this
    3) Yes, couple... nothing worth mention, but there are tons on B&N's site along for free (do a search for 0.00), plus lots of other sites.
    4) You cannot put any SD card in it, but yes you can put a mSD card in it like you use in your Nexus.

    cheers mate,thats good about the rooting,6 weeks till i go on holiday and i think this may be coming with me
    my other phone's a nexus too

    It is actually very easy to Root Duke. Just need a SD Card adapter for your PC and Winimage to Burn the img to the card. The ability to follow directions is also required.

    Anyways, at this stage I see no reason to root. NookColor is running great with CM7RC on it. I'll update to the official one at some point. Leaving it unrooted means I have no issues with warranty, using the free stuff in the brick and motor stores, etc. Basically get all the advantages of root with out any of the loss.
