Now, if only it wasn't a Samsung.

Build quality is important to me, I drop my phone a lot. (oops!)

But, on to another topic. The spec I've seen on the phone is that it supports 1900 MHz for Voice, while AT&T uses this for 3G Data??? Does the phone need an interpreter on the 1900 MHz frequency for it to work with data, or is a receiver a receiver?

So I'll ask again, will this phone work on AT&T?

I wouldn't buy anything on t-mobile right now.

Could be the perfect time to buy from T-Mo. Get a discounted phone on a 2 year contact, and if AT&T change the terms of the contact you have grounds to leave without an early termination fee...?

That's a good idea Danger. Didn't think of it that way. I am a borderline Ship Jumper at this point

They wont change the terms, at least they did not when they bought Cingular. I still have my Cingular plan, which is cheaper then anything AT&T offers.

They won't change the terms. They plan to change all the 3g towers over, and have said that tmobile phones won't work for data anymore. So you'll have your plan but your phone will be garbage

That sounds like grounds for ending the Contract without an ETF to me.

Not garbage, but all t-mo phones will get is 2g.

It will be a year until the gov't decides whether to allow the buyout, another several months to a year for the deal to finalize, then close to 2 years to convert thousands of t-mo towers.

I think we have some time
