iSyncr app not working
Hello all . I just bought a Galaxy s 11, my first Android phone. I wanted to put my Itune music on it so I downloaded iSyncr. I followed the tutorial. Not working as I expected. The app is on my phone but when I attach it to my PC I don't see it show up in "My Computer" as a removable drive. I did download a driver so my PC recognizes my phone (I have windows XP) so I can download my pictures.
When I open the app on the phone under select where to install isyncr my choices are USB Storage or do not install. The tutorial says sd storage or internal storage or both. Is this the problem?
I need help please

Try going into settings>applications>development and check USB debugging. That should allow your computer to see the phone.
Also it appears that some of the programs will say USB storage and others will call it SD card. It would be easier on many people if they called it the same thing all the time but I sometimes think they don't want people to know what they are talking about.

Hi Colwill64,
A couple of Galaxy S2 users are seeing this... but the tutorial (Help->Tutorial) should have had the following instructions. Hopefully these are the settings we are missing. I know my U.S. based S2 is a little different, but the instructions work.http://blog.clove.co.uk/2011/05/04/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-gt-i9100-quick-start-guide-user-manual/
On page 112, it says that we need to do the following steps to get the device to show up a removable storage drive.
1 In Idle mode, open the application list and select Settings
→ Wireless and network → USB utilities → Connect
storage to PC.
2 Select OK to confirm (if necessary).
3 Using a PC data cable, connect the multifunction jack on
your device to a PC.
4 When connected, select Connect USB storage.
5 Select OK to confirm (if necessary).
Then just run iSyncr.exe

The other point is about why is it only showing "USB Storage"? If iSyncr doesn't detect both an SD card and internal storage, it simply says "USB Storage". This is confusing, but unfortunately it is impossible for me to know if your phone has only internal memory or only an SD card. If you think your S2 should have both internal memory and an SD card, just send me an email by going "Help->Feedback/Support" inside the app and we will dig in further.
Thanks,
Justin
