    Question Do I Have to Root the Phone?

    I have a Galaxy note n7000 and I want to put nice themes like the new jellybean 4.1.1 but if I ask someone to help they tell me, your phone has to be rooted and I dont want to root my phone...

    Any suggestions to what I should do???

    Welcome to the forum!

    You can get launchers that look like the JellyBean screens (it may not run as fast and it is not truly jelly bean) but it will have the look.

    That's right, you can achieve amazing cosmetic changes to your phone or tablet simply by using different launchers. Check out those links John provided in Post#2 - you've nothing to lose.

    There is nothing inherently wrong with rooting your phone. It does void the warranty, but with most Samsung products, this is easily reversible. However, when applying themes using root privileges, it can be tricky, but from personal experience, also yields the best results. Using a third party launcher as suggested above is the best route to go.
