So what are you going to upgrade to? You can get a great deal on the Galaxy S3 these days.

CR6 is absolutely right, Depending on who your carrier is, you can find some amazing deals on phones right now. I paid $10.00 for my S3 back in May, and in June I found a similar deal on a Note 2. Check out prices on the internet and you'd be amazed at what you can find.

I got it from AT&T - a red GSM version - and I'm dead serious. I was online, paying my bill when this pop-up appeared saying that one of my lines (I have three) was eligible for a complete upgrade. So I followed it over to that "thread" and saw that it was indeed over two years old, so I looked at what kind of deals they had and grabbed the red version of the S3 for the amazing price of $9.99 along with a new 2 year agreement. I'm a GSM guy all the way, and so my choices of carriers are pretty much limited to AT&T or T-Mobile, but only AT&T had that dark red phone. Under the circumstances, I jumped on the deal like a duck on a junebug.

Definitely check with your carrier, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.as their all offering specials on the S3's and Note 2 right now.

Also, be careful buying a "used" device. We've had quite a few issues pop up recently of folks purchasing a used smartphone for a great price, only to find out there "new" phone was still under contract with the seller, and they weren't able to get it connected. If you do buy a used device, make sure to double check the ESN/IMEI number with both your carrier and the sellers carrier, to confirm it's "free & clear" from all current & prior contracts, so that you're able connect it under a new account.
People are purchasing these subsidized phones super cheap, and then turning around and reselling them for 5-6 hundred dollars. Just be careful and verify the IMEI number BEFORE making the purchase. If the seller refuses to give you the IMEI number beforehand, walk away from the deal right then.
    Good luck!
