Question Samsung Link - Retrieve Deleted Files

    Please can you help me.

My lack of knowledge and understanding of the Samsung Link has caused me to lose hundreds of Photos.
I mass deleted them as a I did not realise it would be direct to my PC hard drive, thinking it would be just what I wanted on my phone!!
Like in picasa photo albums - do hope you can understand my stupidity!!

There is no trace of them in my recycle bin and I cannot restore as I stupidly did not back up files.
And there appears to be no recycle bin in the Samsung Link?!

These were pictures of my son and I am desperate to retrieve them.

I hope you can tell me what how to do this ASAP as I dare not switch my PC off.

I am trying desperately not to cry....

    Welcome to the forum!
We've had this issue come from time to time and I honestly don't know if there is a tried and true method of retrieving deleted photos, (at least one that I've personally tried), aside from taking your pc to a professional,

There is a program called "Recuva" (yes, spelled correctly) that Cnet has given an Outstanding rating and great customer reviews. Do a Google search for that program and see how that works for you.

Hopefully you'll be able to retrieve your lost photos. Good luck! Please update your post and let us know how things work out.

Thank you - Currently 'in progress'... fingers crossed
251608 files to go!! Bag of Minstrels and a packet of fags to keep me company

It's worked - thank you so much - but it's also picked up a further 6000 pics that I have deleted over the years. Will sift through them tomorrow
So yes it really works a treat.

    THANK YOU

Worked a treat, picked up every deleted edit I ever had - lol
14,000 files to sort out now, but hey I got my pictures back.
Thoroughly recommend Recuva to anyone needing to do the same.
Thank you very much.... won't make that mistake again!!

Did either of you recently disable any facet of your GMail account? By default, the contacts displayed in the People app are tied to your GMail and I'm not sure what might happen if you disable the account but it seems possible that they would be removed from your phone.

Go to Settings -> Accounts -> Google and tap on your GMail address which should be at the top of the list. Is "Contacts" checked? Is "People details" checked?
