    Hi,

I posted my results above. Odin log says "Get PIT for mapping" and doesn't seem to progress any further than that.
I have followed everything else correctly and even stopped all Kies processes before running Odin.

I don't understand why there is "Set Partition" on Odin. Please help.

Set Partition cause using pit to repartition that believe to be damaged as you mentioned earlier.

Try again now untick pit and untick repartition.
    Flash with the same firmware.

Before you start. Restart your PC and stop any anti virus.

    Hi,

Done everything as you said. Restarted PC, don't have Anti Virus running, don't have Kies running at all.

    This was my result :

Didn't work. Message was "There is no PIT partition".

Usually it just easy process to flash Odin.

But using firmware come with pit partition still did not work. Look like your emmc chip/partition badly damaged

What/How make your device end up in this condition?

Do you still have warranty? Go for warranty.

If no warranty, so sorry cause it's really PITA unless you have excellent understanding on ADB, you may take a look to understand what I'm talking about.

Here the example from original Note N7000 http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=26428986

    solution

    [QUOTE=andy88;311878]Hello,

I have spend about a whole day on this problem without any success. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which is stuck on its boot screen and doesn't
proceed any further than that. It shows "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100)" on the screen. I could only see this after switching the phone on and even after
    restarting the device.

I had Googled for some help and tried using Odin with so may different Custom ROMs and Samsung's Official Firmware without success. I get error messages
such as PIT file error on Odin and I have tried downloading (PIT File) which has been also unsuccessful so far. I also tried many different versions of Odin (ranging from 1.x.x to 3.x.x).

I also cannot get into recovery mode (Pressing Volume Up button, Home, Power).
I could only enter into the download mode (by pressing the volume down button). I've tried removing battery for 5-10 minutes and restarting again (no success).

I followed all instructions found online such as installing the Samsung-USB firmware on my Windows machine and I can't see where I could have gone wrong.

The phone was purchased in Malaysia and (I have used the exact firmware for Malaysia - downloaded from Samsung's website to restore using Odin)
    with no success :-

    Galaxy Note 2 (International) GT-N7100 XME N7100XXDMF2 4.1.2 07.06.2013 1071214
its actually the power button. i had the exact same problem. i fixed it myself

I had the same problem, i went through all process, the only way i got my phone to boot is by going into stock recovery and doing a factory reset. My phone works now.
    Thanks

    Unhappy

any successful solution ? I have the same problem with my note 2. After returning to stock firmware GT-N7100_XEO_1_20121015123511_rc22lvgm4p i can't go into recovery mode, phone just boot and boot again no matter how long i pressing button combo, but I can run downloading mode. I tried root my device by NoYouVerizon but there was a Pit error. Also I was trying diffrent kinds of stock recovery with the same results.
