Internet Gone For Everything Except Skype and FB Messenger

So I've had this problem for a day and a half now, and it's really annoying. My phone is connected to a WiFi network, and yet no app has an internet connection, be it Facebook, Youtube or the Play store. The only two apps who still work somehow are Skype and Messenger (albeit not always, sometimes it takes a minute or so to send a message). I have no idea what the cause of this problem may be. I tried a few things from some Youtube tutorial, but they did not help. Hopefully you people will have the answer
    I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 btw

Welcome to the forum. Have you simply rebooted your phone, that will clear a lot of issues like that.
    Samsung Galaxy Note 7
    LG V10
    Lumia 950 XL
    Nexus 6 - PureNexus
    NotePro 12.2 64Gb

    Perform a Soft Reset

    • Turn the device over so that the battery cover is facing up.
    • The battery compartment release is located on the back of the device.
    • To remove the battery cover, lift the battery cover from the release slot.
    • Remove the battery, then wait 10 seconds before inserting the battery again.

I saw this on an AT&T site.

We have been receiving reports of connectivity issues with the Samsung Galaxy S5 after updating to 4.4.4. We are currently working with Samsung in order to identify a root cause and fix for this issue. As appears to have helped for some of the customers who have posted in this topic, the issue appears to be related to Smart Switch which can be addressed by disabling this feature. To do so:

    1. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi>Smart network switch

    1. Remove the mark in the checkbox.

We appreciate your patience as we work with Samsung to find a permanent solution to this issue.
