    Well here's an update:
    Bought micro sd card,
    Copied pics to it,
    Copied to laptop,
Back to phone (changed settings so pics get stored to it)
Deleted some of the old pics on it.
Phone randomly shut itself off or froze...I can't remember now which but the result is the same...restarted the phone.
Once it was booted up, I got a message saying external sd card is damaged.
    What the ....
Should I reformat it? Is it fried? Why would this happen? Could a corupt phone corupt it?
    Any ideas?

Plug it into the PC, get everything you can off it, format it, get back to data transfer, then step away from the coffee mug sitting on the table next to you. I'm not sure if it's one I made coffee in. Is it blue?

If it smells like blueberries, that would be my Ethiopian Harar...

/and yes, a freeze/reboot while writing would corrupt the sd..I'd reformat on the puter, and try again..is your battery fully charged?

I was done with the sd card transfer stuff when the phone froze/shutdown. I wasn't even using it....when I picked it up I had to reboot it and that's when it said the sd card was damaged. I think the phone is possessed.

Your contacts and stuff should be 'in the cloud', so as long as you got your important pics off the sd, I'd say your golden for a refurb/replacement. That phone needs an exorcism! It has an intermittent power issue, or corrupt onboard memory issues. Report back what Bell or vendor says! G'Luck! :D

Nah, just had too much of my special coffee. It's 90-proof, donchaknow. :D

If you're all done just reformat the card and move on with getting the replacement! Let us know how it goes, please.

And yes the battery was charged up but with all the freezing and shutting down the battery doesn't last very long anymore (not even a full day). I usually charge it at night but if it freezes before it's fully charged then when I reboot it, it has to finish charging and that may happen more than once in a charge cycle. That can't be good for the battery.

If it was allowed to charge unthrottled it's a fire/explosion hazard!

Get that thing out of your hands ASAP and where it can be fixed, and get yourself a replacement quick!
