That's the wrong SBF. With the .04 bootloader you need the next SBF.
This may help. Complete Droid X .sbf Flashing Guide - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
Let me know if you need anything.
i'll let you know how it goes, pm me with ur paypal and as soon as i see this working i'll send what i promised cause its totally worth it!
couldn't find the download link for the SBF in that link, but it does have a handy guide, downloading the one for my boot loader from http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-x-mods/6360-full-2-3-340-official-sbf.html

No donations needed. But thank you. And please let me know if there's anything further you need, I'll happily do some digging for links and such.
bleh i just tried it, and i downloaded the one i liked in my edited post, but says the same thing still ERROR: Flash failure: Phone: Phone is not compatible with multi-interface super-file. (Error Code: 3b),
still that problem that the boot loader will not see my USB connected for some reason. only on the one where the moterla symbol shows up does it come into the RSD
Going to try a linux boot cd from my brother and install that way, i'll let you know how it goes!
Good luck. The error your reporting is normally caused by the wrong SBF or an incompatible (read too early) version of RSD Lite. I'd hate to think you needed 4.9 now to flash SBFs onto the X. Hopefully the Linux CD will fix you up!
Weird,i keep getting a checksum error in linux when i start it.
"checksum error (expected 0x8a11, got 0xa513)"
gonna try RSD 4.9 now
wow same thing too. this is really driving me nuts, is there anything i could be missing? i tried RSD 4.9 on my windows xp laptop just to mkae sure also. its gotta be that i'm not doing this through the bootloader as its not seeing a USB connection for some strange reason.
if i keep unpluggint and replugging the cable it;ll come up as USB transfer for a split second before returning to "Connect USB Data Cable"

It sounds like it's not finding the right drivers for it, to be honest.
You're sure after you installed the program for the drivers you opened it up and told it to install new drivers?
Sorry, must have accidentally closed the thread.
