Sync Facebook Contact Photos with Gmail Contacts?

So I am having this problem and I cannot seem to find that answer anywhere. I have synced both my gmail and facebook accounts to my contacts on my android phone, and all of the pictures display (from facebook) in the contacts area of my phone. however, all of those facebook pictures do not show up when i make a phone call or view my text messages. this is really annoying to me because I am a very organized person and pictures make it easier and faster. is there something I am doing wrong or a solution to my problem?

I have a samsung galaxy prevail on android 2.2.

I've heard similar problems before but I can't remember if there was a solution. So I'm bumping you in case anyone else can hep.

Try to uninstall the app and removed the account. Then just reinstall and re added the account. See if that fixes the prob.
