Telstra T-Touch Tab (Huawei) is rooted

i recently put a pattern lock on my T-Touch Tab, and failed to enter it correctly, and after so many attempts, i was no longer able to try to get the pattern right. As i do not use Gmail for my everyday email account, i forgot my password, and was forced to reset it, however new password has not carried over to my Tablet, and i am unable to view my previous password to unlock my tablet. is there any way around this?
