LG Ally Broken Screen; External monitor?
Hey guys. Today while I was at work, I dropped my LG Ally and the screen broken completely. All that shows up on it is several blue streaks. I can hear texts coming in and I can receive calls, but cant see ANYTHING. No I am not rooted. I was wondering if there was a way to view my phone screen on my PC. I cant see anything on the phone, so I'm not sure what I would do. I cant download any apps either. Is there a program I can use to access my screen via USB? I would basically like to check what text messages I recieved. Thats my biggest concern because my boss always texts me.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hm... you would need to enable USB debugging in order to get something like that to work. I'm not sure how you could do that without seeing the screen.
If, for some reason, you already had USB debugging enabled:
-Download and install the android SDK. There's some good instruction on the web.
-Navigate to the tools folder of wherever you installed the SDK. (i.e. if you installed the SDK in C:\xyz the folder would be C:\xyz\tools)
-Double-click the file called "ddms.bat".
-A black box will appear. This will mean it's loading. Wait until the actually program (GUI) opens up.
-If you have USB Debugging enabled then you should see your device listed (It's name will just be a random string of numbers and letters). Click on your device's name. Then select device->screen capture. A picture of what's on your screen will show up. Press the "refresh" button to get what's currently on your screen, press "save" to save the picture, and press "done" to cancel.
I hope this helped. Good luck!
