Every time my EVO 4G refreshes with my outlook email, certain emails I have already deleted (some weeks earlier) keep popping back up as unread (with the original date) I even went in to outlook on my laptop and permanently deleted them to no avail.

How is the account set up? POP3, IMAP? I am assuming this is a business email account. It all depends on how you have it set up.
It is set up POP3...it is just my personal email through outlook. It hasn't always done this, it just started a couple of weeks ago, and it isn't all emails just a small percentage of them. I had an EVO shift and it would do this with one email at a time on occasion then just clear itself out after a while, but these aren't clearing out and they are starting to accumulate. Thank you in advance for your help.
Depending on which email service you use, I would recommend using a different email app. I have not had much luck with the stock email app or the Android implementation of Outlook. I have one email account that is not a GMail account, and I use K9 (a third party email app) and it has worked great.
I don't know what causes that issue, because POP3 is more or less a "dumb" email protocol. All it does is download emails to the phone, there is no active communication between the email server and the phone other than the mail download. Maybe someone else might be able to give you some insight in to the issue.![]()
My stock email application did something like that and it was just unreliable, so I took an alternate one, it fixed all the issues. I think it is something in that stock app. Though, I don't know for sure.
