Problems Seeing RED "Missed Call" Icon Since ICS Update July 9, 2012

Hi,
I'm very new here, but feeling a bit old.
I'm having problems with a very basic thing. How can I tell if I have an SD card in my droid razr?
I thought I'd had one installed when I purchased the phone.
I've tried to download some Icons for Notification Toggle app. They take time to download, but I don't
get them in my gallery, and I've rebooted.
I'm now wondering if I even HAVE an SD card.
Help will be very much appreciated.
I also "lost" my red notification when the system was updated yesterday to ICS. It just went grey, and the icons are all VERY small, now.
This is why I downloaded the NT app. to begin with.
