New Member Requiring Help Please
Hi all,
When I take videos on my galaxy s2 I hold the phone vertically but when playing them back on my tv they playback in the wrong orientation, ie horizontally. In the future I will obviously have to capture the video holding the phone horizontally but at the mom
How do I change the orientation of my previous videos?
Many thanks, david

Yes it will display it just as it was shot. It played it vertically vertical right? Not sideways? And Welcome to the Forums!

Thanks for replying guys, ok I'll try and explain it differently lol .
I have been capturing video while holding my s2 in the portrait position. When I play it back thru my tv the video is sideways on my tv .
Any way of altering the orientation when playing back?
Hope thats a wee bit clearer.
Cheers

Are you playing it through the phone hdmi out? Or copying to another medium first?

Have you tried shooting a video with the phone in the other orientation to see if it's somehow reversed during recording?

My guess is that it is trying to output them in 720p or 1080p. In order to do this it has to display them sideways on the TV. Most likely has to do with the HDMI output wanting 720p or 1080p as driven from the phone.
Not sure if there is any way to fix this other than turning your TV 90 degress.....

Yes this does solve it for future videos but I'm trying to view previously taken video.
