Samsung Galaxy S2 Not Charging When Phone is On

Hi, First of all I'm new to the forum.

I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100G) to ICS 4.0.4

Unfortunately since I have updated my phone, it is not charging when the mobile is switched on. It is also not being recognized when plugged to the computer via the USB cable supplied. I have read that if you switch off the mobile phone it should charge and I can confirm that when it is switched off the mobile will start charging, so I know that the USB port is not damaged. I also read that the best thing is to backup the necessary data and do a factory reset. I've done the hard reset but still no luck!

Is there anyone who has the same issue or any advises?

I don't have that issue with mine but my signal seemed to drop. Do you know how to change internet settings

hi wolaa.. i also had the same kind of issue on my GS2, but i still remember that time the problem was got resolved by the hard reset only. i think your way of performing a reset would be different thats why the problem is still there. you can try this How to hard reset Samsung Galaxy S2 hope it will work for you. please let me know if it didn't work. coz i have few more tips and tricks for an issue like this. thanx
