Samsung GS2 Keeps Restarting
So I've had this phone for about a month. All the sudden today, the phone just started to restart itself as soon as I hit the lock button. Sometimes it would let me unlock the phone and then it would restart itself. I started to google what was going on with my phone, and saw that people said it might be an app or virus. I decided to do a factory reset on it, and now it's gotten worse. The phone started, and then after setting up my email, and some stuff, it just randomly turned off and went to the charging screen. It tried turning on and would go right back off again after showing the "Samsung Galaxy S2" logo. Then it just didn't want to turn on for a few, so I removed the battery and it turned on again. Now it won't unlock, or lock itself when ever I press the lock button. It will just turn the screen on and off every few seconds, like if the lock button was stuck. or... it will just restart itself. I'm not sure why it just started happening all of the sudden, but it seems like every android phone I get always has some sort of hardware malfunction issue, and always has to be take to the store for a fix or a new one. I really don't want to go back to OS, but it seems like Android phones suffer from some crazy issue all the time, not sure why, and not sure why it only happens to me as I take good care of my phones.

OK, if you don't get an answer here, try our sister forum Samsung Galaxy Forum - Galaxy S2 Forum which has a lot more Galaxy S II members.

What exactly are you doing with your phones? Are they all suffering from the same issue? Do you root them?

I had this problem also and I almost bought a new phone. I couldn't even do a hard reset because the phone would turn itself off before the reset could be finished. It also kept disconnecting from wifi. I decided to remove the SD card, and the problem was solved! Now I'm glad I couldn't do the reset. I'm going to get a new SD card and add apps and media one at a time, and waiting to see if the app/media is problematic. Try this before doing a re-set and see if it works for you. My phone is working perfectly now. Good luck!
