Nope still force closing on configuration of Exchange. All the email actually works. However I can not get it to do Exchange / Active Sync configuration..

I did Dorian's JVH Beta.zip then JVH Update 1.2.zip in that order.

    Go to email
    enter data
    select manual
    select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync
Type in the rest of my information
    Accept Samsung "Data" policy
    Says Getting Information
Then does a Sorry Force Close

My sadness is in full effect..

This is very interesting to me, and since I can't test Exchange functionality... could you try this:
Download "aLogcat" from the Market (it's free)
Open it and press menu and clear....
Now hit your home button and try creating an Exchange account
After it fails, press and hold home and open aLogcat
Press menu and Pause, then save it and post it here... or Email it to me at dorian@android.net

That will help me tremendously! Because I can't tell where it's throwing an error if I can't connect to an Exchange server.

Well, battery life in the JVH version seems really good, I'll admit. Better than the other ROM's I've made. Otherwise, it's mostly the same, since Gingerbread isn't that much different than Froyo. The UI frameworks are different, you have the CRT off animation, better 3D performance, and the overscroll glow.

is jvh installed the same as jv8 or over jvb?

Edit:: I'm not as advanced as alot of you...but i think i figured this out on my own...instead of flashing back to froyo...for all gingerbread roms will i use the "installation package...flash back to stock gingerbread...and then install the new roms?

Yep. You have to load JVB through ODIN first, then you can install any i9000 base Gingerbread ROM.

    Dorian,
If it helps, I have created a user for you on my organization's Exchange server, and will send the particulars to your email. Please feel free to test with that account.

Good news guys!! I've got Exchange sync and setup fixed! Bad news is that is was really deeply rooted, and it's going to need a fresh flash. Since indiadelta set me up a test account, and fluffy has done some troubleshooting with me... I've been able to compile in a fix for Exchange in the android.policy.jar framework. So, since I now know roughly how many activations Exchange will allow, I'm going to tweak this one a bit so that you shouldn't have to re-flash anything for a while (if you don't need to, or if you don't have a flashing addiction). Look for JVH 2.0 in a whole new thread, in stable form. Also, thanks indiadelta and fluffy for the help and troubleshooting! It's very much appreciated!
