    Cool

Hi, I didn't have the time to update since KI2... Lucky me...
If you could make an apk out of the battery mod that crt60 made (the one with battery % in the status bar), that would be awesome!!

Thanks again Ninja for keeping us updated all the time and for your great work!
    Have a nice week

Hey ori26, unfortunately I am not familiar with modding a lot of things other than CRT (takes less than a minute to do). What I can do, I already deodex the ROM so I can add the files Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites! you'll need so you can make the mods yourself at this site. UOT Kitchen. Kitchenou can either push the files after the mod to /systemapp/systemui.apk (delete the odex file since this is already deodex) and /system/framework/framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk then reboot.

I just tried this out on my phone and didn't have any issues creating and saving new contacts using the +. Not sure why it would not work on your phone, I am running the latest build KJ3 and your on KJ2, we can try a couple things.

    1) make sure you contacts are backed up.

    2) go to settings>applications>manage applications>all and scroll down to contacts. Make sure you are backed up on your contacts and select the program and do a clear data and test it out again.

    3) If that does not help then try upgrading to KJ3 (you can flash without wiping your data since you are on KJ2) and see if the problem continues.

Does anyone else have issues with creating a new contact using the +?

Oh no!! That was for a different issue and you did not read the post correctly. You are still on stock and if you pushed the file I had uploaded then you are required to delete the odex file. When you flash KJ3 it will replace the missing odes file and updated the contacts.apk.

When you are restoring, are you restoring system apps as well? This could be your issue. You should not restore any system apps when you go from build to build or from custom roms.

Why do you do the fix permissions? I never do this so I am not sure if this could be the issue.

I don't have the issue, I can create new contacts using + so it might be from one of those.

You can pull a logcat and look at it when the issue happens. Here is a link on it logcat | Android Developers

    "How to root:
1: Download the image for Odin
2: Flash it with either Odin
3: Place tar file is PDA slot
4: Boot once, (it will install root) shut down.
5: Reflash the original KJ3 kernel using ODIN"

After following the instructions 5 times, still no root, should I/can use the fugu method?

Here is the fugu (Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!), it should work as well as the designgears one.
