--The Beta Thread--

How many of you guys with Captivates would like to try Beta's before release? This thread won't be just for one build, but will be for all beta builds...

BUT... Since this is a beta thread, please know that I don't guarantee anything with these ROM's as most of the time they're still rough around the edges. They will no more harm your phone than any other ROM, but some might have more bugs than normal.

This thread here at android.net will be more of a continuation of a thread of the same topic at attdroids.com. Here I'll be starting this thread off at XWJS8, which is a 2.2.1 ROM. Gingerbread is coming, but it's still rough around the edges.

About Current Download:

• Based on Samsung's XWJS8 2.2.1
• Stripped of ALL bloatware
• Media apps like the Music and Video Player are still present
• The Kernel in use here is Existz's Onyx kernel V2.0.1 (based on hardcore's K13D)
• OC/UV compatible
• 1000Hz Frequency Polling (smoother animations and transitions)
• Modified Water Live Wallpaper (less busy than it was... more zen like)
• Updated kernel modules and graphics drivers
• Voodoo Sound V6 with updated Control App

But nice! Testers are always welcome in the beta thread. Samsung pushes out new builds so fast that things never sit still.

Yea, I use genuine Samsung i9000 base in all my ROM's.
