It's been reported by CS reps on the ATT Facebook page that it will be $350.

Ya, that would be awesome but it sounds to cheap. It has to be more then the HTC Aria and that goes for about 350..

AT&T Hi Mark - the Captivate is $199.99 w/ contract, and $349.99 without.

This is the quote from the ATT Facebook page in reply to someones inquiry.

Okay this is kind of strange because Backflip is $399 and Captivate is $349. And we all know captivate is a better hardware so can somebody explain why backflip is more expansive?

I dropped by my local at&t corporate store this afternoon. They had the Captivate, but said they will not sell then until Sunday. They quoted me $499 as the off contract price. :-(

Hmm that's weird. And a big deal as well. That's and increase of $150. If this is true, I'm sure that plenty of people that were thinking of selling their backflip and getting the Captivate will reconsider.

Anyone heard anything else on the off-contract price?
