Problems deleting single text messages

I've noticed that if I want to delete a text message I sent I tap on the message and the message options comes up and one option is delete message.

However, if I tap on a message someone sent to me, different message options come up....lock, call, send msg, forward, copy text, and view message details. There is no option to delete that one message.

Has anyone had the same problem. Any ideas?

ok so apparently I had a blonde moment. Delete message is still an option when trying to delete texts sent from someone else. You just need to scroll all the options. It wasn't showing up because it wasn't on the screen.
