Music Player - Can't stop it!

i previously had a Tocco Lite and was able to switch the music player off but with the Galaxy SII I can only press the pause button and when I go back into music player the same track is sitting there waiting for me - Is it me?

Welcome to the forum! My Fascinate does the same thing with the stock player. You have to pause it, then back all the way out of the app for it to close. Or you can go into settings, applications, running services, and close it out that way. (PITA I know!) Try Winamp or Proamp, both very good alternatives with the ability to exit the app & shut it down completely within their menus. Good luck!

I don't know about those players, but in Poweramp (another very good player, including 12 band equalizer, pre-amp, cover art, fade, gapless, cross-over, library/folders, trial version) you long-press the pause button to turn off completely.
