The Geeks here at Accessory Geeks are back with a Samsung Epic vs Droid X comparison benchmark showdown. Both phones have 1GHZ processors. The Epic utilizes Samsung's Hummingbird processor, while the Droid X uses the TI OMAP 3630. Both have integrated GPUs and are based of the ARM Cortex A8 architecture. We found in real-world use, the Hummingbird powered Epic delivered smoother and faster performance than the Droid X. We used Linkpack and Quadrant Standard to run our benchmarks. The Epic yieled slightly higher Megaflops (MFLOPS) than the Droid X. In Quadrant Standard the Droid X received a higher score, though the Epic yielded more frames per second (FPS) and ran the test quicker.
