Saving a picture imbedded in text message to SD card

Hello everyone! Brand new to this forum! I apologize if this has been asked/addressed on this forum...I looked and didn't find anything. A little background;

1. I have an Epic phone
2. I upgraded to 2.2.1 as soon as it was available (end of Feb)
3. I experienced numerous problems primarily SD card oriented.
No camera, no Gallery.
4. Went to the Sprint store and they did a factory reset on my phone.
5. Now when I receive a text with an imbedded picture, I don't get the
option to copy to SD card. From the text thread, I press and hold the pic
until the options menu comes up. That menu used to offer the option
to copy to SD...the menu still comes up, just no option to copy to SD.

Question; is this a bug with 2.2.1 or is there another way to accomplish the task?

That bug was in several builds of Froyo from Samsung. I stopped using the stock messaging app though... the AOSP mms is much better.

What is your baseband version?

Dorian...thanks for the post! I'm a little new at this so I'm not sure about "AOSP mms. My baseband version is S:D700.0.5S.EC05...I appreciate any insigt you can provide! Don't ya just hate the newbies!

....press on pic and hold..menu will come up. select attached items. select image #/name and save. it will save to downloaded picture file on your gallery. hope that helps.
