Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 - Root Failure!!
I am new to the world of Andriod phones but here's my problem:
I purchased a second hand (mint con) Ace S5830 locked to the 3 network, then paid for unlock as I am on Orange SIM Contract, the phone cannot connect to WIFI so whilst researching that I stumbled across rooting & as the phone has a lot of 3 Apps that I cannot access due to being on Orange & it said I would be able to remove them with rooting thought I would give it a go. This was fairly straight forward or so I thought but althought the RootValidator is saying my phone is rooted when I go into SuperSu no Apps are showing up so nothing can be deleted. The WIFI problem is still there as well.
I was thinking that maybe the problem was because I hadn't got a 3 SIM in it & if I inserted one would the rooting work better or am I way off the mark.
I used StoneTonyBoy's universal root programme, I ran the root, the programme to remove all carrier apps, I unrooted, removed the ThinkOffice App & then rooted again but SuperSu isn't showing anything when I open it so where have I gone wrong & can it be rectified.
Any help would be much appreciated, sorry for the long post but thought it best to explain everything I had done. Do I need to get a 3 SIM?
TIA - Angee

I have been looking into this rooting thing alll day trying to come up with my own solution. I went back to unrooting my phone & after reading on XDA site found another zip file rooter, upd_1.zip. Again I have ran this but noticed when I go into the recovery of my phone, under the list of options at the bottom of my screen I have the message:
--Applying Muti-CSC--Can't access to '/system/csc/H3G/system'.
Cansomebody explain what this is please, is this what is stopping the rooting from working properly. The upd_1.zip again installed SuperSu but again no apps in it so can't delete nothing. I have ordered a 3 SIM card & will try it to see if that helps but I am clutching at straws here - HELP!!
