DEAD Galaxy Ace

hi, I have a galaxy ace, it is 11 month old. the other week i was txing and it just died on me. took it back to the shop it was bought from,(phones4 us) they sent it away. recived a letter from their engineers saying it had damp in it, thats why it failed. (apparently there is some sort of led that changes color when it gets damp in) It have never been wed at all, they say it doesn't have to be. They will not give me a new one as damp is not covered in the waranty. is there some way to repair it as they are not clear on whats actually wrong with it. any help and advice would be welcome. thank you, barry.

I am told that if you put the phone in a plastic baggie along with uncooked rice and let it sit for a day or two, the rice will draw all the moisture out of the phone. Try doing that first, then check back here for possible repair advice.
