How to turn on 3g in Galasy Fit

Hi all,I have galaxy fit and i need to know how to turn on 3g in it. My SIM card is 3g active am able to use 3g services in other mobile but not in Fit.I tried some option to turn on 3g. like Settings ---> Wireless and mobile networks ---> Mobile networks --> "Use 2g network only" in that i have unchecked above check box even though am not able to connect to 3g network.I am using the android version 2.2.1Can anyone please tel me how to turn on 3g.
