Gingerbread upgrade changes "Data Connection" to "Sound"
Hi.
I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy Mini from Froyo to Gingerbread and the Data connection button in the notification bar was replaced with a Sound button.
Is there a way to get the Data connection button back? It's quite hard to access Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Use packet data to get the same thing.
Thanks!
BTW, If they wanted to replace something I think Auto rotation was the best option. How often people need to change that!

If you press and hold any of the buttons does anything happen?
DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACE
THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK

What buttons?
Does this have anything to do with the "Data connection" button in the notify bar being replaced by the "Sound" button?
Thank you.

That's why I was asking.
If you pull down the notification bar and press and hold one of the buttons for a moderate amount of time (assume 2 or 3 seconds) do you get any kind of vibration, sound, or reaction from the phone?

I get the same result regardless of the time I press the button.
(I get a vibration of course when I disable sound).
Just to make sure my question is clear.
Did you have a data connection button in the pull-down notification bar on Froyo and now (if you have Gingerbread) that button was replaced by "Sound". If so, is there anyway to get the Data connection button back?
Thanks!

On my Galaxy Fit I have always had the Sound icon. I press the off button for about 1 second and you will get the data network mode connection option I tried to setup a short cut icon but could not find the Data connection short cut icon option under the Settings icon (for shortcuts)
I have WI FI , Bluetooth , GPS, Silent , Auto rotation Icons on my Notification Bar and yes get rid of the Auto rotation bar and replace it with Data network would be great
