Moving Apps From Memory to SD Card

I've added an SD card to my phone. It shows up when I check my space. I'm using App2 SD as I did with my last phone. Though many of my apps show up as being movable, the place where it used to tell me to click to do this has disappeared for all of my movable apps. Anyone know if this would work: Remove my SD Card, put it into my old phone, download the apps, move them to the SD card and replace the SD card in my GN 2. It sounds as though it should \work ???

I am going to assume GN 2 is Galaxy Note 2 since there is not a Galaxy Nexus 2.....

App2SD was used for devices that did not have much internal space. Now most phones and tablets have 16 GB or more of internal storage, the need for app2SD is not needed IMO. Also, even when using App2SD there are still SOME files installed on the internal memory to redirect to the SD, so moving an app to the SD on one device, then moving the SD to the 2nd device will not work.

I beleive some handsets using JellyBean and ICS have an option in Settings - Apps - All - (Pick an app) to move to the external storage. My tablet does not have this, but I think some phones do.

For me, I only have 16 GB on my tablet. I keep apps and documents on the internal storage, music on Google Music, and media (videos and such) on a microSD card. Plenty of space for my needs.

Thanks for your immediate answer !

No, I don't have that option to move apps built into my phone. My problem is that I really do load up on apps. Also, my phone is floaded up with all that junk T-mobile thinks you need. I'll set up some cloud space and do at least a little house cleaning. Thanks for your thoughts.

Anyone else out there have any ideas for me ?

Is there a root method for you device? Root, install titanium and freeze/delete the bloat. Should free up some room. Also there are hacks available for some phones that trick it into seeing the internal as external and vice versa. I don't know about your particular device but it is something to ask around about. I know the GS3 has this.

Try this......worked for me very well.....and not worrying about storage.

Post 3 had the above link. So I downloaded. Now, I'm running Beans ROM, FYI. First thing, make sure Busybox is installed. I installed from Market and did Normal Install within Busybox.

The Apps2SD script was initially saved in Download. I moved it to /System/etc/init.d folder, using Root Explorer.
Install SManager as stated in link.
    Browse as Root
Went to System/etc/init.d folder. Select the Apps2Sd file and click on SU & Boot...click on Save. Reboot.

That should do it. Went to Titanium and it shows my 64GB as my internal storage. Installed Dark Knight Rises and it's going to my microSD card.
