Wrong SMS message count displayed
After reading/ deleting the messages, SMS message count is not reset. For eg, if there were 3 unread messages, even after reading all the messages count still shows as 3. Same issue is observed on deleting the messages also. Count is reset to a new value only after receiving new messages. Sometimes after opening some other application, count value is reset. But I am not able to to debug or know the pattern of resetting.
When I bought this handset an year back, I had Gingerbread OS and the issue wasn't there. The issue was observed since it was upgraded to Icecream Sandwich and is still present even after upgrading to Jelly bean. Can you let me know what the issue may be?
Mobile phone : Samsung Galaxy S2
Model No : GT 19100
OS : Jelly Bean (4.1.2)
Baseband version : 19100DDLS9

GSM Galaxy Note 2 (Titanium) - Rooted running Jedi X20 Rom
GSM Galaxy Nexus (Black) - Straight Stock
GSM Samsung Galaxy S3 (Red) - Rooted running Deadly Venom v8.0.1 Rom
For the above issue, observed that on opening "Logs" tab in "Phone" menu and navigating back to Home screen, message count is getting reset.
