Word of advice. Never let them tell you they'll call back. If they do that ask to speak to their supervisor. Though they often MEAN someone will call you back it usually doesn't follow that anyone will. Keep escalating till someone will admit you have a problem.

<g> I'm sure you're right. The problem is I need to speak to a software bod, who'll be a stage or three removed from the help-desk. I'll keep trying.

Unable to edit Exchange appointments sent to me

If I get sent an invitation to a meeting, and the sender has set it to a 5 minute reminder, I may want to change that to 30 minutes to give me time to travel there. If I try and edit it on the Galaxy, it says that I don't have permission. I'm stuck with the sender's 5 minute reminder, and will likely end up late. I thought I'd post that here as it is a similar issue. Would love to hear any suggestions... Is this a bug? I don't have this issue on my old BlackBerry Torch.
I have exactly the same issue with my SGS2 using the XXKG3 firmware. It should be a bug from the app used by Samsung (which are quite crap for Calendar, Mail and Contacts). Anyone knows how to fix this issue? I'm using my phone for work and most of the appointments are sent to me, hence not editable...

In my Desire I can edit without any issue using the standard app from HTC.
On the SGS2 I've tried installing some calendar programs from the market and using them I can edit the appointments. The drawback is that the apps I tries are not sharing the contacts with the ones already existing on the phones, so they do download their own contacts.
