How to block ad pop-ups in downloaded games?

Hi! I just bought myself the new Galaxy S2 phone. I need help/advice on how to block the ad pop-ups that keep on appearing on my downloaded games (the free ones on the Android Market app). Do I need to install an anti-virus software that can block pop-ups? Or is there a setting somewhere on the phone for me to do so?

Either root and install an ad-blocker or buy the apps to get rid of the ads and support the developer.
