Bluetooth file transfer to and from Win XP PC

Can I transfer files like .txt, .mp3, .jpg, .mpg to and from my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 (Australia) without any additional apps?

If no, is there a good (preferably free or less than $5) app from the Android Market with which I can transfer such files backwards and forwards between my PC and phone.

    Background:
My computer has IVT Blue Soleil and my old phone was a Nokia N97 and before that N95. On both those phones once I paired and connected I could do file transfer either way using Blue Soleil bluetooth file transfer. With the SGS2 I only see Object Push service available, not File Transfer Service. With the file transfer service and my N97 I would see on my PC a window like the file Explorer which showed the phones complete file structure. I could then drill down to the file and then drag it to a file Explorer window on the PC into the directory of my choice. This made it very easy to transfer a few photos, movies or songs. The transfer is much slower than USB but very convenient if you don't have a USB cord or it is somewhere else at the time you get inspired to move the files!

    Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks again. I will try it. It seems to have pretty good reviews and a good rating. I saw it from some research but tried ES File Explorer which seems a good file Explorer but didn't seem to do anything for improving Bluetooth file transfer. I'll give it a go!

If you use it yourself are there any tips or tricks you would offer to a first time user of the app?

Hmm. I wonder a developer might be able to help. I'll see about trying to get one here to see if they can.

Sorry it took a bit to get here and post, I also wish I could be of more help -- unfortunately the problem with bluetooth is that is a somewhat fragmented technology. The specs are implmented differently depending on who makes the device. Also there are many protocols, FTP, SDP, RFCOMM, SPP, OPP, OBEX, A2DP, etc. Sometimes they even have multiple names for the same profile. Android only officially supports RFCOMM (aka SPP). However most Android phones support at least a few more than the default, it's just not a part of the API.

Anyways, my apps Listables and BlueMuze can help you transfer from one Android phone to another, but they dont currently wrok with any desktops. (Though I may add that later).

That blue-ftp app that furbearingmammal recommended is your best bet for now though -- at least that I know of.

Sorry I wish I could be more help
