I am hoping someone can help me. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 and it is running baseband version I9100XXK14, Android version 2.3.5.

I installed a third party mail app from the Android Market a few weeks ago and it replaced the standard icon in my dock (or system tray) at the bottom of the screen. I decided to revert back to the standard mail and uninstalled the app from my device. The problem is that the standard Mail icon is now missing from the dock area - I now only have Phone, Contacts and Applications icons. I have also noticed that when I initially start up my phone all 4 icons are there, but after the Media Scanner runs, the Mail icon disappears again. I uninstalled my AVG App in case it was that which was removing it, but the problem is still there.

Does anyone know how to get my Mail icon back? By the way, I have tried going to Widgets and adding the Mail icon that way, but all that does is put the icon on one of the panels instead.

Many thanks
