Notification When Screen Off

Hi,

I have Galaxy S2 with ICS on it. My phone is not rooted. I am trying to find a way I can see a notification of an incoming sms or email while the phone screen is still off. Ideally, when I receive and sms/email the screen should turn on show me a pop up of the message summary and after a few seconds the screen should turn off. I don't want anything else, I don't want any pop ups after I unlock the phone. I don't want to even click on the pop up. I just want to see this notification so i don't have to unlock it when ever my phone pings.

Is there any app out there that does that?

Should be an option in lock screen or security that says "sms screen on", at least that's where I find it on most phones I have seen

Thanks TRX, but i don't see that option anywhere. Could it be it does not exist on my galaxy s2
