based on my experience. I prefer hard case because of the feel of the surface.I always dont feel comfortable on soft cases

Anybody have a recommendation for an ultra-thin hard case? I want something for basic/light protection but I also want to prevent increasing the thickness of the handset as much as possible (pocket carrier).

I have had hard cases before and they do not absorb the impact if you accidentally drop your phone. They fly right off in the other direction. Then your phone bounces and skids after the case falls off....very sad for a phone. So now I only go with TPU cases or hybrid cases. They fit get very snug and don't fly off when you drop it.

Also, I find that if you get a tiny little grain of sand or something in between the hard case and you phone.... you eventually end up with a scratched up phone after a month or so. I don't know how it happens but sand/dust always find their way into my hard cases

I have a case like the soft one you linked, and I highly recommend it to every S3 user. It makes the phone fit in your hand more, and the chance of it to slip down your hand decreases a lot. Also I've dropped the phone several times, and my case prevented the phone to crush. And if you're gonna get a case, get the screen protector also because if it drops facing its screen, screen protector can prevent it from taking damage.

The protectors as shown in the pictures are so transparent that the phone looks perfectly naked. I would suggest you to go for the hard one simply because it is stronger and can withstand better. I would also suggest you to keep it in a pouch all the time which will further ensure safety. Other solid and hard outer covers may not be the best possible options.

I would highly recommend eBay searching "Samsung Galaxy S3 tyre tread case". It's a brilliant black silicone rubber flexible case with a free screen protector, and very high quality. I bought mine for £2.99.

Yes,hard case is better than soft,soft is hard to clean which it's annoy, often throw it away and later have a hard to instead.now I'm using ROCK Quicksand Galaxy S3 Case and impressive...

here is a pic of the screen protector i use. A company called xoskins...not really well known but they do have nice quality and affordable.
