BARRY TIP #2 - Adding Memory
Installed a Sandisk 32GB MicroSDHC memory card so I could shoot lots of flawless hi-def video. Wrong. Camera AND playback kept freezing up at random times, causing shutdown and reboot. Grrr.
I don't think the read/write rate could handle 1080 hi-def video.
Solution: Will probably have to go with the SanDisk Extreme ProŽ microSDHC memory card. More expensive. I'll report back.

FYI: I recently installed a 64GB class 10 and it has no issues keeping up. What class is your 32GB card?
I know I had to use a class 10 in my Cannon for burst mode shots, otherwise it wouldn't keep up there either.

"Class of my memory card? What's he talking about?". That was my reaction to your question, SuedePflow. What an enlightenment. I had no idea memory cards had speed class designations. So THAT'S why my Galaxy S3 freezes up when shooting hi-def 1080 video - my SanDisk is a class 4! And THAT'S why my Nikon D80 is horrendously slow when taking bursts of RAW/NEF photos - it's a class 2!
Thank you, SuedePflow! I love learning new things!
Off to Blue Proton, unless someone can recommend a better place to buy memory online.
