Samsung Infuse Touch Wiz

I wanted to start this thread to post issues that I've come across with the version of Samsung's Touch Wiz that is running on the Samsung Infuse, and issues that I've found. Not that Samsung would respond, but someone may know of a workaround or fix for some of these.

Deleted Text messages: Has anybody noticed it takes upwards of 5 screen taps to delete a message thread? That is really annoying, especially if you text frequently.

Text notification: Unable to assign a specific text notification tone per contact. It appears that there is a single notification tone available for all contacts.

I as well txt alot an find it frustrating that u have to go through 3 different dialog boxes in order to delete a txt thread.

You could always use.one of the great text apps. Handcent, GO sms, or chomp are popular and have alot of features.

I've been using GoSMS for months and absolutely love it. Its got so many useful features, free themes, skins, etc. way better than the stock messaging app. I've also heard/read a lot of good things about Handcent too. (Both free in the Market)

All you have to do is long hold the text then a box will pop up say delete thread then you hit will go away all in one touch

Thanks for the tip. Had no idea you could hold down on the text and it will prompt you for deletion. Still get the confirmation message, but it's better than what I was doing before. That works when I on an actual message as well as when I'm on the outer thread level. I'll also check out a couple of the suggested text apps and give those a spin.

That's the real joy of Android -- choice.

We might not have 75,000 far apps in our Market, this is true, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Do you? :D

Downloaded GO SMS Pro, and love it. My only complaint thus far is that my customized settings are often lost, and the display reverts back to the standard set. I haven't figured out what could be triggering this, but it's kind of annoying given the amount of time you spend customizing some of the displays. Great app though.

I'd complain to the app's dev. They might have a fix coming or some sort of workaround.

Ya contact the app devs. The GO team are great at responding to issues. they might not even know of the issue.
