Having to Force Close everything

Good morning guys

I bought my intercept about a month ago now and have had a few issues with it that I got fixed but now...im having to force close everything!! it takes about 10 mins to boot up which is frustrating and when it does boot up, the battery is half the life of it was! My phone couple weeks went into airplane mode and didnt come out of it for a couple hours! i turned the phone off, took the battery out and everything...still didnt snap out of it. So i took the phone to the store i got it from (which wasnt thru sprint), and the guy fixed it. anyway! im ranting...so my problem is having to force close everything i do!! This has also happened couple times i was on the phone with someone(with my boss in particular >.<) and one message that bugs me is "processing start up(cant remember what exactly is) is not responding" I have only a few apps on there and i wonder if there is some way i can make my phone better?? Please help!!!
