Running Sprint Hotspot on Intercept
I did the upgrade on Android system on Intercept before holidays. I found the Sprint Hotspot App on phone. I set it up and it activates briefly but then sends me back an error message that my data service username or password is incorrect. Has anybody had luck running this app on an Intercept?

I just upgraded also and was wondering if the app or usage is free. I know Sprint charges for the Evo hotspot app so I wasn't sure.

I'll query Sprint Dealers
I'm going to query several sprint dealer in my area. They folks at the Sams Club near me where I get my phones are pretty knowledgeable.

Use of the hotspot is not free. I believe Sprint charges $30 for it on all the phones, not just the EVO. You can always root your phone and download the free wifi tethering app, it's what I did and it works great.

Admitted phone idiot
OK. I'm a tech idiot, but interested. How do I "root" my phone? I guess I can go to marketplace and search/download free wifi tethering app. Any suggestions on an app?
